His creative side came through in poetry he wrote, paintings, playing music, and the fun cartoon doodles he always drew. 6, 1934, in Dimock, SD, the son of Fernand and Elizabeth (Kummer) Schoenfelder. The couple lived most of their lives in the Sioux City area, where they owned and operated K-D Fir Farm, a mink ranch, for 25 years as well as Fashion Fur.In addition to his wife Twyla, Ray’s surviving family members include three children and their families– Sioux Falls residents Guy and Pamela, and their children Charysh, Miranda, and Garrett; Presho, SD residents Tim and Rita and their sons Todd and Mike; and Vivian, SD residents Dawn and Pat and their children Cody, Arielle, and Jeff. He attended school in Kennebec, SD and graduated from high school in 1951. In later years, he worked for Custom Wood Works until retiring in 2007.On June 1, 1952, Jo Ann married Lorne Houser in Chamberlain, SD.From this union, four children were born: Dan, Greg, Susan, and Mike.Memorial services for Jo Ann Houser, 83, of Oacoma, SD will be Monday, May 28, 2018 at pm at the Oacoma Community Center in Chamberlain with burial of the ashes in the Graceland Cemetery at Oacoma.A lunch will be served at the Community Center following the burial.Will passed away on January 14, 2018, at his home in Reliance after a short battle with cancer.Gratefully sharing his life are his wife, Pam, of 37 years; son, Brian and his wife Jenna Reis, grandson, Briggs Reis, of Plankinton; daughter, Katie and her husband Matt Wiederrich of Sioux Falls; son, Andy Reis, of Reliance.
They enjoyed visiting their children and grandchildren.
After high school, he attended the University of South Dakota at Springfield for one year.
He then returned to the ranch and worked with his father, and continued working there until his death.
On October 18, 1980, Will was united in marriage to Pamela Fisher at Winner, SD. To this union three children were born: Brian, Katie, and Andy.
Will was a supervisor of the American Creek Conservation District, a member of the Reliance Jaycees, an RACD charter member, and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
