Robert was predeceased by his grandpa, Raymond House of Kansas City, Mo., and grandma, Pauline House of Mecklenburg, NY.
He is survived by his two sisters, Krystal (nieces Isabella and Skyla) and Lexi Updike, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was born in Elmira, NY on June 15, 1954, the son of the late Gerald and Esther (Ayers) Hyer.
Bill graduated from Odessa-Montour High School and BOCES in 1972.
He was a member of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church, Myrtle-Jefferson Lodge #131 F&AM, Kalurah Shrine Binghamton Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Fern-Tyrone Chapter #142, Sons of the American Legion, and Watkins Chapter #182 R. Surviving are his beloved wife of 43 years, Susan Hyer; daughters, Billie Jo (Dustin) Carnes and Wendy (Lauren) Richtmyer; grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Carnes; brothers, Gerald (Donna) Hyer and David Hyer (Sue Snyder); sister, Donna (Dwight) Wilber; and by several nieces and nephews. Services will begin at p.m., followed by a reception at the Myrtle-Jefferson Lodge, 308 W. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Together he was raised by his loving bonus father and best bud, Lawnie E. Robert attended Trumansburg Central School District. He was currently working as a clerk at the local Byrne Dairy, after several years as a stay-at-home daddy.

Mary Jane graduated from Watkins Glen High School and Robert Packer School of Nursing in Sayre, PA.
She was employed as an RN for several years at the old Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls.
She was born on December 20, 1927 in Valois, NY to the late George and Marietta Connolly.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Julie (Bovaird) Boyce; four daughters, Cheryl (Brian) Grimes of Odessa, Jamie Sue Smith of Cayuta, Karen Rider of Cayuta, and Trina Shepherd of Horseheads; a sister, Shirley Fraboni of Dundee, FL; a brother, Elwood (Judy) Boyce of Nokesville, VA; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an avid Chicago Bears and New York Yankees fan.
